Picked two up on my way to scugog this afternoon, one each of the small and large. Tested out the small one today and the perch really seemed to like it. Had something big smoke it while it was just deadsticking at one point. After a 5 min or so battle was rewarded with a gorgeous oos smallmouth that was at least 4lbs.... Yeah, they work alright!

Had chance to try the Freedom Minnow out on Simcoe today. Consensus is the perch like it! Got several double headers on the large one today.

Perch says Cheese!

The hooks on these things are quite small, and razor sharp. Really like them, only issue was that while I was taking the hooks out on a fish I had one of the tines on the rear treble snap off (the one I was holding with my forceps for leverage). Is all good, as it works with two tines just as well!

love stories like this...now i need to get one.... gotta try to build a bigger arsenal. Now that i see it works. Sometimes lures look too good to be true.

Tight lines all

Gave this lure a good shot today ....all the biggest fish I saw came in fast at this lure ...the fish were pretty tight lipped today I was only able to get one to bite the freedom ..all llamas the rest were on the slab grabber. All in all my faith in this lure is somewhat restored.

Did you use a minnow or minnow head on this lure?

I used it naked, i used it with a minnow head and i used it with 1-3 minnows loaded up on a treble. All three ways caught fish. What i liked was that even loaded up with 3 minnows the lure still had a good drop action (unlike a slab grabber where tipping seriously changes the lures fall dynamics)
