Was coming home from work the morning we got all that rain and there were a few guys out there about 100 yards out. Water looked to be at their ankles. I'd imagine after this cold weather that it's pretty solid.

I cant testify for Rice Lake but can say for sure, there are huge amounts of water flowing through the system downstream from Rice. I pass a few locks on my daily commute and the dams are discharging vast amounts of water for this time of year. They've been doing this for over 2 weeks, so it isn't the recent rains. Current under ice is not a good thing. Use caution.
Also, the Trent has been making very spooky sounds for over a week. Never heard it before either. Sometimes I can hear it in the house over the TV. It's very weird.
