Hello guys, happy new year. I got to the ice with buddies this morning. I am still on the ice and having a good time with friends We accessed from Glenwood ave, set our pop-up around 250 meters from the shore. There was only one pop-up at the morning, and now there are five includes us maybe. I checked the ice thickness at some points 200, 300, 400 meters (sorry, I was confused it was not feets) from shore line, They all have more than 7 inches thickness with 2~3 inches black. We got few perches but no keeper yet, and the action is little bit slow. Thank you for reading the post and I always aprreciate about sharing information from you guys haha. So I think it is my turn to give back what I received from you. I tried to write detailed report as much as I can. I hope this report will help you to come outside :-) Will update some pictures soon. nice pics. I'm glad there is no snow on the ice. Will help make ice faster. Nice report!

Thanks for the update, very helpful! Can't wait to get out there. I heard that Cooksbay should be in full swing in a week or 2... but I'm thinking of heading to the west side of cooks bay this weekend to check things out. Seems like there have already been people on the east side, although I don't know what the conditions are like... Be safe!
