Had to go into Orillia today, so I drove back by line 9 to see if last nights cold temps had put a "skim of ice" on things.

The pics. speak for themselves.

First pic is the launch ramp and the 2nd looking North. Didn't take one to South as it was right into the sun and besides it was just the same open water.

In early Dec. when we were guessing about safe ice dates, I said Jan. 23. With the weather forecast the way it is, It could be the end of Jan.

It's awesome how the ice formed to look like little waves. Can't wait to get out there tomorrow!

I may or may not have rejected your reality and substituted my own! Thanks for the pics. Glad I like fishing for panfish!!!

It's good to go now, Gerry, if you have a good boat!

Where's your boat,Ralph? You could be out there now instead of being on here stirring the pot!!

It was froze over this morning as far as the eye could see at 7:30 at the bottom of the 9th. Obviously the s/w winds today didn't help!

Hey Harold

My boat is sleeping the Winter away in my garage. It should wake up again in April.

At the ramp, there was too much snow to allow anyone to back down with a trailer.

On the other hand, a couple of guys with a 14ft tinny and some waders could have hefted it to the water.

Ralph
