Gonna keep this report short;
Today I went out to Virginia beach with all the good news this week about the ice. Got there around 10am as I slept in after yesterday's trek in Beaverton. There were at least 50+ huts, including Dave's huts. He had around 15-20 out, I didnt count as I was to excited to be fishing. I decided to fish in the middle of the 'shanty town' around 10fow. The ice was about 10" thick where I had setup shop. The morning was kinda slow, all dinks. The afternoon however was awesome, 11 fish taken home for supper with well over 20+ perch caught.

I'll attach some pics of the day and fish porn. Before anyone lectures me on the size of fish kept, my forage minnow ripped some gills out on three of the smallest fish there. All perch I usually keep are 8-12", the rest go home unless the really hurt from retrieving a deeply swallowed hook. Instead of returning them to die off I keep them for very small fillets and the rest goes to my Great Danes or cat. Lol enjoy .

I paid to park but some people are already parking on the ice near the shore. $2 per hour to $10 daily max in the paid parking area next to the restaurant. $20 spent, $10 on parking $10 on minnows.
