Police are asking fishermen to stay off ice saying its not safe yet after all the rain...... Lets hope the weather gets colder ...

Police also said that in the middle of the giant freeze we had two years ago when there was 2-3ft of ice on the lake...

I was on the fish in 10ft of water on cooks i had a nice school come by a few time lots of jumbos down there but couldn't get them to commit to what I had as I left 4 new lures in the truck an my buddy heater got abit wet so no heat to keep me warm enough to stay long enough for the day but well worth it to get out for the first time of the year for me

Where do you grab those parking passes? I am thinking off heading to Keswick tomorrow morning. I usually grab minnows at Harry's but not sure if I can get out under the bridge with my quad.

Walked out about 0.3 km there's a group of Christmas trees talked to some one fishing there they said no fish continued on to 0.5 km drilled a hole 20fow 6-7inches great ice moved on to 0.8km drilled we 29fow 6-7 inches great ice set up started jigging perch right away non stop action lure & wax worm most 6-10 inches did manage to get a few nice Jumbos before I knew it hours past by still catching decided to move in to 20fow set hut up again perch there too non stop action jigging catching lots of little ones here around 2pm I had go though 30 wax worm only a few left 2:30 caught first jumbo at 20fow not keeping any today so that rules out using eyeballs from perch the best bait ever stayed till 4pm when I used my last wax worm walking back in thin layer of snow I used ice cleats I will be going back out tomorrow just not sure what time tomorrow I'd imagine there's gonna be a lot of people and machines out tomorrow so be careful everyone and see ya out there
