With the cold temps this weekend, I'm thinking Monday should be a great day to head out on the ice instead of going to work. With that being said, It looks like it may be my first solo adventure on the ice. I am going to have to narrow down a few safer places to go. Hoping to check out some spots on the east side of cooks into Innisfil, so fingers crossed the weather will be on my side. I'll be looking forward to reading all the reports this weekend, and trying not to get too ancy as I read all the success stories... Stay safe out there, and have a great weekend everybody!

I'm headed to Virginia beach Monday. I'll be heading out towards daves huts but I have my pop up. If you see a all black rapala tent, come say hi. I'll be by myself as well but have been out already by myself on vb and was real confident with the ice conditions. Hopefully the crowds won't be out so I can finally set a tip up with a big dead chub minnow without fear of them getting smoked by the sleds going Mach 1.

thanks for the offers guys! that's the great part of this forum... knowing theres like-minded people that don't need an excuse to go out fishing. I've talked to a few buddies and at least 1s coming out now. hoping it'll be a good day! I'm in a blue clam nanook. looming at the west side not 100%sure where we're going yet, was hoping to get out off near 6th line but going to have to see how the ice is between now and then. if anybody has a report let me know. I'll be checking the blue ice until then

I'll be heading out monday too not sure if VB or PB yet. Only thing keeping me from VB is a 30$ parking ticket
There is parking or you could try the ice close to shore. I find 20 gets me a day of parking and minnows. Cheaper then a ticket and you get minnows out of it. The lot is a $10 daily max pay machine, and your vehicle is surrounded by security cams lol

I hear ya... I've launched my boat and parked by the ferry in the summer . I've parked on ice at VB multiple times in the past yrs , but last week I purchased a brand new full size pick up and not gonna take the risk quite yet

Do they usually ticket the row of parked cars on the road near Dave's Huts? I've only been to VB during the week but was hoping to bring a buddy up on Sunday
