I am planning on taking my son ice fishing for the first time ever and was wondering where are best bet would be to go cooks bay or virginina beach and would it be worth going to an operator or someone going out who might be able to help us out if it is not a problem and when I say my son it is my 23yr old son and I will be coming from St.Catharines thanks he I currently at Sir Sanford Fleming for fish and wildlife

Not sure if you have your own shelter or not, but Virginia Beach would probably be the best option. Ice Fishing Outfitters on Hadden has huts out. Good luck!

For a first timer and even for us "OLD" guys it pays to use the services of an operator, there are a few listed under "ICE HUT RENTALS" above , from board input they run top notch operations and will lend a hand where needed .. as said b4 take advise and learn ... Best of luck..

I have ne so that never had a hut and don't mind standing or sitting for a day on the ice so that shouldn't be a problem thanks though
