Amen to that. Got one but it needs seasoning really really bad and I just haven't got around to doing it. Too busy fishing lol. Getting it seasoned tonight that's for sure.

2 -3 bakes in the oven @ 450, with extra virgin olive oil, for 1 hour.
let it cool. repeat process.

after the bakes. cook some bacon in it.

it'll be seasoned to perfection.

No idea on buckshot. I use jigging raps, bad boys and vibratos. If I fish with minnows it's on a spreader.

Only thing better sometimes than catching them is eating them... Nice job..

I looooove to eat them but catching I find is a lot more satisfying. Nothing yesterday for the first 5 hours and then whamo!

i have 5 cast iron pans. all perfectly seasoned.

i use to buy them from value village, thrift shop or garage sales.
restore them and sell on kiijiji.

the key to keeping them work perfectly, and well seasoned, is to use them daily.
never turn the burner on the stove past 3-4 on the dial.
its also a good idea to pre-heat them in the oven before cooking for about 10 minutes @350-400

one more thing, before you season the pan give it a good wash with soapy water , let it dry fully, then go about the seasoning process.
