Ladys humpbacks

well its been a while since I have had that thump feeling in my hands, but today the ol' girl didn't hold back at all. Got out away from the weekend warriors of kempenfelt and marked fish all morning. ended up landing 4, with 3 other hook ups and let go's. kept 2 for dinner. decided to keep the largest and smallest ones I caught of the day. Had a couple lakers chasing as well but nothing would commit. The vibrado and glow in the dark jigging rap did the trick today. Fished in 70 to 92 feet of water. ice was 4-5 inches of clear black solid ice. Typical kemenfelt once anyone sees a bent rod they figure thats the only spot of the lake where to catch fish. I love playing cat and mouse games with them guys, wait for them to set up and tour away again.

lets hope this week holds back a bit and we get some cooler temps after next weekend. don't want to see what we have turn to crap.

I knew it. I saw you catch a fish and people started closing in on you and you took off pretty quickly. I was fishing just outside the black hut with my gf inside. Glad you found a few more!

yes I remember that black hut. never really been one to fish in a hut, so its hard to conceal anything, and once they see a fish caught look out. pisses me off cause the electronics start to fail and all you can see is they're jig for the most part.

Nice job well done.... I hate when people do that , they see someone catch a fish and move close to that person. Like you said no fish in the lake only where you are because you caught a fish. Never the less nice catch.....

I love being outside. The girlfriend gets cold so I lug it out for her. At that spot I had one and lost it and my gf had 2 on and lost them. I left the hut up and started moving around quite a bit until I found them and then got 4 and had 12 on in total at that spot.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, I landed 12 and lost 3 - I was in a one man.

I just put the Herring and 1 Whitey outside - big mistake Oh why did I do that. Won't do that again but there is only so much room inside and the one Whitey was a bleeder as you can tell from the pic.

I hear noise of individuals coming closer, had a nice one on - over 10 lb and bring it in.

Already had my limit by this time and caught those 12 and missed the 3 but now with all of the auger noise and other finders set-up my screen isn't so clear and the bite has just died. Suppose the school got spooked off.

When I went out of my hut a guy had drilled aprox 20 ft at the back of my set-up and there was now a little town set-up close around me - friggen people but I partially blame myself.

I started to pack up and was calling it a day - guy says leaving. I said ya because some people just don't seem to have ethics - drilling 20 ft close to another guy is stupid already when there is lots of areas to go - at least 50ft but 20ft away is crazy!

So if you happen to be a member and reading this you know what I did and said - don't be such a dink and have some ethics and not drill so close - let others enjoy their fishing too!

ya got that right fella. almost should train fisherman ethical and common sense fishing like a drivers license before handing them a fishing license.

On Sunday I had a guy set up 15ft from me in a hole that my buddy was fishing who ended up going home early. He cracked a beer and called his other buddy over who said and I quote "fish finders are useless..all you need is a Vye Brato and make sure it vibrates". No fish finder means no interference but if you set up that close in deep water at least offer me a beer!
