I was wondering if anyone has been fishing on scugog lately and how the bite has been.I was planning on going this sat with my son and was wondering if it would be worth going I have never fished there so I have no idea of where to go.I will be leaving St.Catharines on sat morning so will be looking at a noon to dark trip if anyone is interested in going and giving a rookie a little help thanks.

I had another busy night on Saturday.

Marked lots of fish, lots of bites and fish iced, but not many big ones. Lots of 7-8" fish. A couple in the 9" range.

5:30-6:30 was the hottest bite. It was non-stop.

Those are nice perch for Scugog ,way to go Fisherboy. Sorry Cat I have to say it, but it seems a little strange that anyone would take a Fish and Wildlife course at Fleming but had-has never been ice fishing. Hope you get him out before he graduates.

If I go out this Saturday catdog I'll let you know Friday night we can meet up I'll give you some pointers. The bite was slow this Saturday only eight crappie and six bluegill and a few perch fished from three to six thirty.

Was out yesterday and a bit tonight. Crappie are biting if you know where to look. Caught a few of everything in the same general spot. Aim for 3-6 pm. Some of the biggest size crappie I've seen in the kawarthas. Good luck!

There should still be plenty of ice.

Shore might be a little messy, and likely water and slush on top, but 10" isn't going to dissappear too quickly with only 3*C and nights near freezing.
