Just checking in to see if any of you have been fishing Big Bay Point yet. I was out at Gilford yesterday, the ice was great, the fishing was mediocre. Brought back a few descent ones that were 12 or bigger, but left everything else for the future. Anyway, back to my point... Trying to see how BBP is doing these days as me and a few friends have a cottage booked the weekend of Feb 4th and keeping our fingers crossed that the ice will be safe.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

BBP is not ready. I checked at the end of maple view last Thursday and it was open water after about 100 yards. By February 4th if we get some cold after this warm spell you should be good to go.

Thanks for the insight... Little scary that it still isn't ready though.
