Got out today with Rino, Dinky and his son for a Laker n Whitie pursuit. The morning started with this beautiful sunrise. I love being out on Simcoe for ice fishing season sunrises- the Lady never disappoints!

Rino did a number on the Whities today. We didn't find them bunched up, and the bite was passive. We had to keep moving , but managed to find enough for a feed. I tagged this Laker, biggest I've ever caught on Simcoe, using a Goby colored tube with the tail from a real Goby. I was targeting Whities of course and this pig inhaled it. The Trout on Simcoe always surprise me at what they're willing to put in their mouths. It was great being able to see the Trout under the clear ice every time I got it near the hole. What a battle!

Ice was very consistent.....guessing round six seven inches......quads were out and about with snowmobiles too!....hard on the sliders.....no snow....glad I wore the cleats!....but there was an awful stink out there......always around JRs and my hole........SKUNK! Very nice to get out with the boys again...... Cheers Greg
