Finally able to hit simcoe for some perch/whitie/laker. Set up around 8 am on sunday. Drilled a few holes on about 4 inches of good clear ice. Missed a few hits in the morning...Midday rolls around and I'm starting to smell that skunk stink that I have been accustomed to when chasing whities. Was trying to decide what time to pack up and go for some perch, when shortly after I get a hit on my tip up. Feel the weight and able to ice my first whitie ever, after several years of nothing to show for. Set up both lines on tip up, and about an hour later, a second whitie gets iced. Now I'm totally pumped and decide to stick around a little longer....And wouldn't you know it, a third whitie (smaller) comes through the hole. The smaller one fought harder then the other two. All fish were caught on tip ups.
