Perch Fishing - Keswick, Slow day...

Hey guys,

Went out fishing for perch on Saturday with some buddies near Keswick... first time out this season

I was using my Navionics app to find some shelves and located a few schools... we were mostly fishing 12-18 fow... Overall it was a pretty slow day, we got 2 jumbos and about 30 dinks... (I found they were quite skittish, more than usual...

We saw a lot of other huts out there, but I noticed most people looked like they were fishing in 20-40 fow based on what the app was telling me... What were people going for? Were the schools of perch hanging deeper that day?? Felt too deep to be pike... and I wasn't sure if there were any lakers down in that area...

Anyway! even though it was a little slow, still a great day to get out! Can't wait to get out next weekend depending on the weather this week.

You can get perch in 20 to 40 flow of water..... You have to be there at the right time, right day that's fishing some days it's none stop and some days are slow. Like the saying goes a slow day of fishing is better than a day of working.

Thanks! I'll have to try fishing perch in deeper water! I've always enjoyed the sight fishing, but I'll venture deeper for sure to check it out

Very soon I will be catching Perch in 40 plus feet. Happens every winter for the Jumbos. There is lots of water to search so keep looking when the Jumbos go deep.
