found out i have the day off tomorrow and am hoping to get some hard water fishing in. does anyone know what the ice is like at virginia beach? i will be travelling a couple hours and would like to be on the safe side.

I read the locals are driveing there cars accross, sooo walking should be ok.

Yes the ice road is open lots of guys driving on the ice with their cars. Was there yesterday fished for 7 hours . It was SSSLLLLOOOOWWWW. Talked to a few guys all saying the same thing. Hope your luck is better than mine.

The perch there were mostly dinks.
You'll also hear lots of pressure cracks.
A new one formed right below me and my girl and it scared the hell out of us.
