Just want to shout out to the fisherman who gave his fish to us today. At least a six pound whitie and a two pounder to boot.we had no luck all week and what he said was more than sufficient for all week. That's what I love about us guys, always looking out for eachother. Thanks again and will be out again tomorrow

Good stuff.
We rented a hut @ Floyds the other year. Got skunked, but a couple of the employees/drivers were in the hut beside us and caught 2 whities. On the trip back to the lot the one driver gave my gf and I one of his whitefish.

That's awesome of him. I have four kids and I'm greatful any time I catch or am given fish. That's one wholesome meal in their stomachs and it doesn't cost a dime....until I hit Basspro or a local outfitter!

2 years ago I was out in kbay first ice and the bite was crazy hot. Everybody around me was landing whiteys like crazy and I kept losing fish after fish for whatever reason. There was a guy who had his limit and gave one to me so he could catch one more before he went home. Made a disappointing day much much better! Karma will treat these deed doers well for sure! P.'s. The day after I got out again and didn't have such bad luck and got to keep a limit for once!

Saw a fisherman give 1 of his 2 whitefish to another, continued to fish caught another and MNR was their to charge him. Good deeds aren't always a good idea

I hope it wasn't the nice guy that gave me the fish! Lol. Yes a daily catch limit is a daily catch limit whether you are still in possession or have already eaten it or what so it is imperative to be careful and pay attention to the regs even if you are doing a good deed.

Yes that has happen.... when I give away my fish I usually do it when I am heading in. I usually give away my catch when I rent huts. To me the catch was fun and the fish is just a bonus. Some people never tried tasting whitefish and lake trout as they never caught one. So I give them my catch.

We went trough this many times already... some people do not know they are not allow to party fish. Technically we are suppose to keep our catch separately when fishing in a group.

I gave a guy from Caledonia a whitefish yesterday at shore their group got skunked and the appreciation they showed is always worth it.I think his name was fishingHigh so if he out there were going tomorrow and you can have my 2
