Perching season started kinda slow for me. First two outings left a bitter taste... Decided to fish Cooks for a change. Spent Saturday running around away from crowds trying to find a better spot - never really succeeded. Found fish everywhere I drilled, but quality wasn't there. Ended up with some decent perch. As a side note: spotted a "motordog " (Hus Ski look alike machine) on the ice: gotta be someone from former USSR countries. It had a weird sound to it, so I had to turn around and check it out)) Sunday I walked even more then on Saturday - same story. Empty bucket till later in afternoon... Got into some decent fish for half an hour. Still don't see the pattern(( Looks like more Long-distance running required next weekend. With that warm spell I am still debating taking the sled out.

It was actually pretty busy for a Monday. Well over 50 huts on the ice, and a bunch of people roughing it on a nice day. Fingers crossed Hoping the ice will hold up good enough to get back out on Saturday wit the wife.
