If you swing by Bass Pro, they had Eagle Claw cleats on sale for $20. They look just like kahtoolas which are 3x the price.

You can grab a pair of cheapies at the dollar store for $3 and they work fine.
Used them yesterday for the first time......One slipped off so I just tightened it up..............

Cleats does help a lot on the ice, seen lots of people falling, and a lot longer getting back to there vehicles from the walk on ice without them.

I went down hard once, went out and spent some money on cleats.

I bought a pair of cleats made by subzero for 17.99 from Canadian tire I put them on and walked out on simcoe today . While I was sitting there I heard a snap . It was the new cleats breaking luckily I had some electrical tape to wrap them with on my boot. I wouldn't buy them again . And no fish I got skunk but had over a foot of ice out from Beaverton .

I have many many pairs and these hold up well and for the price i have a few pairs.

I had a pair of cheapos once, didn't even have a spike at the heel. That's the first part of your foot that hits the ice, what do you think is going to happen?? Glare ice right now would be fantastic to get some colder temps to stiffen & thicken things up.
