Canadian Tire has the HT brand heavy duty (lace up style) cleats on clearance. Regularly $40,, on clearance for $13.99. Saw them yesterday at another CT location for $20.00, but they price matched the Stoufville Store.
Well worth the $$. better than the slinky slip on style that many times fall off and get left behind lol.

I have used "ICERS" for several years. I walk the dogs on a maze of old lumber and farm trails, some of which make the Bear Point slope look level. Despite the frequency with which I use these, they have stood up well beyond expectations. They are all you need for lake use under virtually all conditions. I am less agile than I once was (combination of aging and two full knee replacements) and felt the need to find something more aggressive for uneven terrain. I bought a pair of Kahtoola micro spikes two years ago and they are simply outstanding on hilly conditions. Neither brands are inexpensive but both are extremely reliable and help to reduce/eliminate the possibilities of incurring a concussion or various joint injuries.
