You can accept them legally. You cant go over your procession limit. IE had he already caught 2 whitefish, he couldn't accept those 2. Did you accept fish and already had your limit? As it clearly states in the rule book that one can accept fish (Even with no fishing license u can accept fish) they just cant go over there possession limit.

What a treat!

Ya i make sure to gift my fish to my wife and kids when i get home so i dont have to worry about going over my possession limits...just need to work on catching enough fish to have to worry about that
