I guess I'll be shining up the tin can this weekend.

That sucks.

Starting on the 28th and onward in Beaverton the weather is minus degrees high and low. But a week of warm weather might make it questionable. Id say early February be back to normal.

At least its not as bad as originally forecasted.

This my first season ice fishing, and lets just say I own everything I could need! Be a shame for it to be over already after using all this gear once!

Not over yet. Still a couple months left, hopefully a hard cap gets on her and we'll be good for Feb and March.

I hope there's some ice left on Saturday...

Ice is getting really soft on top and sloppy. I am done for awhile until the cold returns. Back to twiddling my thumbs.

I'm headed to Beaverton tomorrow.

I think soon those who have boats would be able to bring them out to fish from the boat

well farmers amanac makes predictions a year in advance so ya i wouldnt rely on that.

Here's some forecast based on actual data:
By the following and final weekend (January 28–30), expect a more amplified jet stream pattern which will allow for arctic air to return to the national weather pattern as we head into February. The map below shows the pattern that we expect will dominate the month of February and on into March. At this point it looks like the focus of the below seasonal temperatures will be further to the east (closer to the Great Lakes) than what saw during the first half of winter.

Yup I think it is going to be a great 2nd half of the season for us. We will have a month and a half of good prolonged cold to help us go laker hunting!

Yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel ….lol…...
It will turn cold for February……but I’m not sure if the ice will be nice and thick for the main lake.

Will also be out Saturday, not quite sure where, prob VB, cant see too too many places being safe other then the 2 or 3 places that had 12+- inches before this warm front. Sadly.
