as far as i know there is no limit, up north they would stack them up for wind breaks around the huts on lake Temiskaming there very good eating i was surprized to see this.

Boil boneless skinless bite size chunks in salt water for about 5 minutes or until done. To eat dip in drawn garlic butter. Considered by some to be poor man's lobster.

Tough to clean aside from the tail end.
Needs to be a pretty decent sized ding-a-ling to get meat off the ribs. They tend to ooze/poop if you squeeze em - fyi.
Batter it in some cronzy-crisp. Makes for a yummy snack.
Not sure of the technique you use to clean them but there are some super easy methods for these fish that make it on of the easier fish to clean with no pin bones.....Youtube it and you should see a few good ones.

That's what I do. Next time I get one I'm going to boil it in Mountain Dew. Did it with Pike and it turned out really good
