Hi all,

Decided to try and get out before the warm weather shuts things down for a while. Headed out of Gilford on foot. The ice was still 6-7" near shore and 4-5" out deeper. There is a real soft layer on top (almost slush) but standing water wasn't bad, only a few puddles around. Sadly, there is a river flowing down the ramp from shore so I would be shocked if the shoreline holds up for this weekend.

Fishing was what I expected. I marked fish in every hole, but bigger schools between 12 and 20 feet. Sorted through dinks all day and came away with 10 eaters but no real jumbos (biggest was 11").

thanks for the report, I'm really hoping to take my wife out Gilford way on Saturday, just been praying to the ice gods that things will still accessible and safe. Spud bar will be top of the list
