Looking for any input on ice fishing Collingwood harbor, Over the years I've seen huts out all winter... Types of fish caught? baits etc I've always been curious.....bent rods

I think theres a bit of everything in there. Never ice fished it personally. Was hoping to get on some G-Bay ice this winter but thats just not going to happen with the mild temps.

I spoke to a fisherman there last week. Just the inner part of the harbor was frozen enough to go on. Apparently it's shallow and weedy in there so the catch is limited to perch, the odd 'hammer handle' pike, and similar. If the ice freezes much further out(won't be happening this year I guess) then 'some' lakers and rainbow can be caught.

there are quite a few huts there now. A lot more than last year actually. Pike, perch and the odd trout is all i've heard about coming out of the harbor.
