Some may call it stupidity, desperation or as we saud it was, dedication. but today two of my friends and I got out on the ice. The weather was brutal but we roughed it out, we fished for 3 hours and by the end my hut was frozen solid with about an inch of ice on it which made taking it down difficult but we managed. The fishing however was pretty good, caught 6 crappies around 10 inches and my buddy hooked up with a surprise 22 inch walleye......in 4 and a half feet of water go figure! Was pretty cool to see and it was a fun day out despite the conditions!

Nice catch. Sounds it's a good adventure, hope you didn't break the skirt of your hut. I think this week will be good, cause full moon is on the way, for my past experience, always have good catch. Planning to go Friday and Saturday.

Your dedication paid off, sounds like you had a good day
Were you fishing Scugog? If so nice to see there is still some healthy looking eyes in there, hopefully one day it will recover and they will open it up again for walleye.
