Just heard about this, two teens thru the ice on snowmobile near view lake. 15 year old girl did not survive. Condolences to her friends and family.
I don't know where exactly this happened but man, the ice is thick out there wherever I've drilled holes. Another example of the unpredictability of the hardwater. I would assume that it was near the mouth of the scugog river. Again, condolences to the family of the young girl, and also the surviving teen boy, won't be an easy memory to live with. Please be safe on the ice everyone, unsafe ice IS out there

Horrible news and very sad to hear about this.
A real eye opener and a cautious reminder to everyone out on the ice with sleds, atvs, vehicles or even just walking,,,, play it safe out there,, as ice conditions can and do change quickly and without notice.
My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
