Hey guys I was wondering how are you doing on scugog . It hasn't tested me well for crappie but it's been on fire for bluegill! 65 bluegill the other day but only 2 crappies this whole year. What times are good for crappie. Is ceserea better than port? Anything helps.

Been doing really good on scugog this year gotten over a hundred crappie between me and my father inlaw at least thirty keeper perch and more blue gill than you can count all on the west side of the island all in the same spot around five feet of water catching most crappie just under the ice the crappie bite is usually good between four and six thirty pm . Also two nice pickerel over twenty inches my buddy got those a few weeks back.

The worst year yet! My catch numbers are down this year. The crappies aren't too big either for the most part. I don't see the number of huts or pop ups out on the lake like the old days. I see areas that had small villages of people ice fishing have totally disappeared. The only thing I like about fishing Scugog is there isn't 7 million snowmobiles running up and down the lake all day long like Simcoe.

Yeah! I remember there should be two villages on ice every year, Walleye village and Crappie village! Since last year both village disappeared.

Brutal this year. Low numbers and a small size, I gave up on that lake a month ago!

Just back home, finally can ride the ATV, and was lucky decided to bring that, if not it will be a GOOD walk, as usual, find the spot, playing with Perch and Grills, start from 5:40 something, Crappie shows up, all 6-8 inches, we fish til 7:30pm, finally we keep a few.

Don't you people like to eat bluegills? They are very tasty. I cannot find numbers of them on scugog so I don't fish them there.
