We did four days there in August......on our way we spent the night in a place called Montebello.....stunning hotel.....google them.... Then on to Montreal the next day ......we stayed at the Westin which is pretty close to the old part....easily walked to,the old part from the hotel.......many Great restaurants there....but we treated ourselves to for our friends 50th....at a restaurant owned by ....a guy who has his own cooking show on TV....Chucks day off......the best food I have ever had in my life....if interested I can find out the name of it......... You need to make reservations at least least 30 days in advance.....very pricey also.....my mouth is drooling thinking about it.....even saw Dennis Quaid there!
Also remember ....beer is buck a beer at Costco there......
Cheers
Greg

Montebello is on 148 I believe and owned by Fairfield. Great place. In Montreal downtown there is the Vieux Bateau, many others as well. many interesting places to visit.

Three things are must do's when you go to Montreal. The first thing is to go to Schwartz's and have a Montreal smoked meat sandwich.

Second go to a jazz bar and enjoy the show.

Thirdly yes go to old town.
It feels like you're in Europe.

Have fun Hank and good luck.

he resort. we caught smallmouth bass and the chef
cooked them for us for dinner.
