First Crappie Through the Ice

Parr Trout Group: Members Posts: 85 Member No.: 4936 Joined: December 04, 2013	Well yesterday morning I headed out to my normal perch hole expecting to have a great morning. However I got the surprise of the day. Fishing was very fast a feverish with various pan fish being active and all of a sudden while fishing just off bottom, Whammy!!!! First crappie nailed my micro jig. 10" crappie iced. Heard they like to hit 3-4 feet under ice, drop down that far and Whammy!!!! 12" crappie on ice. As fast as I could put back down Whammny, an 11" crappie. That was it for crappie's. What a rush.

Adult Trout Group: Members Posts: 265 Member No.: 473 Joined: March 02, 2011	was out there Friday south of the causeway and there was 14-16 inches of ice everywhere I drilled, just perch and some bluegill.
