Just to clarify.... what Buckhorn, upper or lower. FLW classic and Emerald Isle tournaments are mid Sept on Tri-Lakes. So Chemung and upper buckhorn will be heavily fished lakes.

Just regular Buckhorn (tri-lakes) not lower.
Yup alot of classics that time of year that I've been trying to avoid. It's part of the reason the date is not fixed yet . As soon as we pick a lake I will sort all of that stuff out so that hopefully we can avoid all of the other tourneys

Maybe have it on opening weekend (Sunday)? This way at least the lakes are fresh and haven't been picked apart.. could also bring in more interest to the series and classic.

The 18th (sunday) is the date I have penciled in for first of series.
The first gold bass tourney was done the day after opener for that reason but besides me getting skunked on that God forsaken sturgeon lake. I found that lots of people had a tough time due to the previously hard fished day called opener.
Also it's not enough time to create buzz around it. Lots of people get in a groove throughout the season and look for tournaments IMO
