Seriously. It's only March and since I can't bass fish and the boat is tucked away in find my self buying lures, rods, and reels that I probably don't need lol.

you are not alone !!!!
but when the fishing picks up (basically, any time after June) I cant find the time to shop around for fishing equipment. I use the "calm before the storm" to stock up on fishing gear that I probably don't need. So when June finally comes around I already have a tackle shop worth of gear in my garage.

Ain't that the truth!? I currently have 2 separate packages on the way from Amazon and another one from Bass Pro.....that makes an even dozen shipments that I've had since November!!

I feel like everything somewhat aligns for people to bulk spend their money in March. You've been ice fishing for a few months and now safe ice is harder to find and you're ready for the boat. Many local tackle shows are in march where you can see some of the new line ups, there are a few days of double digit warmness and lastly you have the bassmaster classic sales at basspro and tackle warehouse to make sure you don't make it through march with out a considerable credit card bill.

Been to BassPro twice already this month and even ordered online. I really don't think I will actually have time to try all these new lures. O well makes me happy buying them and thinking about using them.. LOL
And I will say, the worst is bass fishing lures, I keep buying fogs, swimbaits, tubes, worms, chatter baits, crankbaits, ugh.. They all look so nice...

Totally guilty. Can't pass by lures without buying something even if I don't need it. Though luckily was in bass pro today and though I wandered the lures isles for almost an hour I resisted the temptation. Man they need something like a lure patch!

You all definitely sound as bad as me. But I have heard Rumblings that there is a Bass Pro Shops opening up in the Milton or halton Hills area which is closer for me and could spell trouble for my pocket. Does anyone know if these are Rumblings are true ??
