had a blast with my boys in a sleeper hut for a few days but the fishing was terrible we managed 2 small trout, 1 very small whitefish and about 5 small ling we kept one ling and in the morning a fox or something had stolen it there were tracks outside and no ling anymore. my big catch of the trip was a pair of sunglasses and a ice scoop.Weather was nice not to cold but i think i will try somewhere else next time

Guys i talked to that were there last weeekend said...12 inches on main lake, more in bays......eg athe arm from temagami itself ..

good enough to drive cars on and good going for sleds.

Since this is a large water body, conditions may vary from one location to another.

It would be good to know the location of where steehunter was.....

Where are you heading out from tater?

Hey Shank ;
We're heading to temagami on weds mar 7 for 5 days , Latest reports are that they had a big dump of snow and there is no road plowed this year from town to the hub.. So maybe machines but no vechicles....Hoping to catch our share of whities and trout , and just "Maybe"a good fish at the Lions derby.... Have fun on sat... Bent rods

We have a bungalow rented with Bluewater Icebungalows, well be up there monday through friday and we are taking the snowmobile, I was asking about the amount of snow/slush because the snowmobile isn't studded.

Hey Tater ; You should be good on your machines as long as that stupid warm weather does'nt hit up there ,at present there is lots of snow !! But super mild could make a mess . Were up weds to sunday....Maybe consider the lions club derby on net lake on the 10th ,small trout ...BIG prizes... ,If you want PM your cell # and I'll keep in touch up there....Have a great time !!!....Bent rods
