To quote a good friend of mine from another site....

As for battery recommendations, even in rigs were space is at a premium, I Always recommend getting the biggest battery you can fit; both as a starting/cranking battery & the trolling motor batteries. I personally do not worry about the weight or the cost. The priority is to have the juice when I want & need it. The few $$ I may save getting smaller units is Always immediately forgotten when one is floating around the lake with no power. Things you may never hear a bass angler say "I hate my boat, my trolling motor has too much trust and my batteries have way too much juice".

The traxxis has the bigital maximizer, it only draw very less power from the battery, I have a Terrova bow mount 24V with the same build in, the battery is from Walmart, Energizer. I choose the higher power one, have these set up for 3 years already, I use the trolling motor the whole day for trolling or bass fishing and spot lock for Crappie, I will check after each trip, it only used half!! I and using a 3 brands on board charger.

Hi all,
I bought a Kirkland marine battery from Costco. Specs: 750 Cranking amps, 115 amp hrs, group 27D. I've been looking for a suitable charger for this. Canadian tire had some on sale last week (mostly MotoMaster's ) but I missed the sale I found this on amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/NOCO-G750-UltraSafe-Battery-Charger/dp/B004LX3AS6/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8) Would this be a good one for my battery? If so, which size should I purchase (0.75Amp, 1.1Amp)? Also, in the future, I may buy a better battery with longer Amp hrs. I am all ears to suggestions (please post links).
