Pike are easy to clean same bone structure as trout and 90% of the other fish, they have no more bones than other fish their Y bones direct up instead of down but very easy to clean.
And very good eating out of cold water between 3.5 to 6lbs

Not the worlds expert but pike and Muskie have swam together in the same bodies of water for years the Muskie will adapt and be fine no worries in my opinion but hey what do I know

Ok just me 2 cents 😎Beauty catch bet it was fun love the markings but I'm almost certain she's a Muskie(Barred) I say that only because of the pointy fin tips if I'm not mistaken that's the difference a Pike and a Tigers tips are more rounded. Glad to see an actual Muskie caught too awesome!!

There are Pike in Balsam for sure. I caught one October 9th, 2015 @ roughly 7pm. At that time, I had no idea what the Pikes were doing to the Musky population as I just been introduced to Musky fishing. Had I known, I would have kept it and given it to someone( I never keep any fish).

Definitely a tiger, wondering if it was bred there or if it traveled there. Based on its size I'd venture to say it's close to 15 years old, so if bred in Rice lake, would mean the population has been there for quite a while.
