Nice catch . How heavy was the swim bait ? I like the way they look in the water and so easy to fish . I use the bigger ones for Stripers near my home .

3.8" soft body rigged on a 1/4 oz worm jig head.
I don't fish it weedless. Use it just like a crankbait with the odd pause and fall.
The odd bass will hit it if I get more into the weeds. Walters seem to have purview over the edge tho...pretty much just gold if I keep towards the open water side.

ARGH! I was doing almost the exact same thing (except I had a small willowblade attached to mine) all day and never had any luck. My three thoughts on the matter are: Time of day I was out morning to mid-afternoon. Chop, was glass calm while I was out, winds picked up as I was heading in and gave the light chop in your pictures which I know can help with the walleye. I was fishing the inside weed edges not outside. Stupid move, but were easier for me to find with the kayak. Next time I will try the outside edges and see if it produces better.
Great results, thanks for sharing. I need to get a place on the lake so I can just sneak out for 1/2 an hour
