It's calling for a decent amount of rain and risk of Thunderstorms from Thursday until Monday... Hopefully the forecast changes, I don't mind rain but thunderstorms are no good.

Looks like we will see some storms at some point over the opener. Not sure I would call it a cold front when humidex is 36,35,27...... Fair weather guys will stay close to home and less traffic for us hard core guys to deal with. A little cloud cover will help keep the fish more active.

We'll be safe if lightning hits but other than that I'll be on the front deck casting away.

Yeah cloud cover is always good, the risk of thunderstorms might cause some tournaments to be cancelled as well.

Exactly how I feel.

I'm looking forward to the less pressure on the lake. Only thing I don't like is the wind but I'm sure I will find some nice quiet Bays.

I'd fish bass opener even in "knife-storms".

any know where the tourneys are?

Tri lakes Saturday. Likely 80 + boats fishing it. Takes off from curve lake.

Peterborough bassmasters Sunday on rice.

Matt is running a small event on sturgeon Sunday also.

There's also a tourney on Balsam on Sunday, but I don't know just how many boats are involved.

I'm not sure if they still do it but there used to be a charity tournament on bass opener on Scugog. Usually about 30 to 50 boats I believe.
