Hi Everyone

Bass fishing on the weekend and managed this 42 inch musky on 6lb test. Got real lucky!

She hit a 1 inch spinner.

Nice fish! I'm surprised the spinner held up!

More skill than luck I bet.

Beauty! Funny how that happens and I go target musky for a day and can't get squat!
I'm jealous!

Nice. Looks like you were really shallow.

Hopefully you released him properly and didn't just throw him back.

What a great catch! You wonder what makes a Muskie take a run at such a small bait. I think when you get a big fish on in those circumstances your expectation of landing the fish drops to almost zero, and then somehow everything falls in to place and you finesse it in. Well done.

Thanks guys - "better to be lucky than good".

I've spent hours fishing 10 inch swim baits and the one inch spinner was the ticket for my personal best by a mile.

Picture of release. Definitely took my time getting her ready to go.

Nice fish!

I've caught more musky on small bass baits than I have throwing big musky lures. I actually believe it matches the actual forage of the fish a lot better than the larger profile baits that people throw.

With a 6lb line not getting broken, and a nice picture a proof, that is some story to tell for years to come.
