Hi Everyone, Just came back from 3 days of ice fishing on Lake Temagami. Fishing was pretty good, caught a mixed bag of whitefish, lake trout and ling. All fish were caught on or near the bottom with live minnows.
Tip-ups out fished the fishing rods for sure, as Longshank schooled me on the finer points of tip-up fishing. Ling came at dusk and after dark. Whitefish and lake trout came from a semi-flat bottom in 72-75 fow. The ling were everywhere, but most were caught at a boulder strewn drop-off in 50 fow. Tried for walleye at dusk at this spot, but no luck. Weather was crazy up north we had everything, rain, snow, high winds, overcast, sunny, slush, temperatures bouncing up and down, you name it.. All in all a great fishing adventure with great fun and good company.. Cheers & happy Fishing, Jerry
