I am a diehard bass fisherman, and release anything that isn't going to immediately die, but honestly, if someone is following the regulations, who cares if they want to keep a few for a feed. Obviously if it's a small lake and someone's keeping everything they catch, that's not gonna be too good for that particular fishery, but if someone wants to keep a few bass they shouldn't be "prosecuted" over it. There's way too many things in this world nowadays to get upset about rather than a few bass being enjoyed for a meal.
