So my go to lake . temp was 77-78 3 days ago this morning was 72-73. Bite was super slow today got 8 bass in 5 hours biggest 2.75lb. This lake I normally get 20-30 bass in that time.. Does a cold front slow them down?

I only got a couple small largies where I expected to find more today as well... but to my knowledge yes typical post front bite... I had a ton of boat and sea doo traffic where I was but to be expected on long weekend glad to spend time on water just the same👍 Got a small walleye too😜

This is the first larger cold front we've had in a little while, this time of year it can really shut them down for a day or two. It'll pick up again in a few days, and there can still be good bassing, just gotta work a bit harder for them sometimes. Once we get into fall the cold fronts can be a good thing, seems to kickstart their feeding binge before winter and the closer to freeze up it gets, the more they feed in these fronts ( from my experience anyway).

I had a pretty good day myself on pigeon. No bigger fish mind you but lots of numbers between 3 guys we had 15 largies today.. biggest 3.5 smallest 1.5 ..it was fun to get them on the frog or punching those mats! All fish caught 5ft or under..

I spent about 4 hours on Pigeon myself today and it was tough fishing before I shut down because of rough water. All 7 of my bass (2 smallies, 4 largemouth) came from 9-12 feet in the weed edges (inside and outside edges).
My experience with hard cold fronts is that they last for 1-2 days because the barometric pressure difference really affects shallow fish, not so much deeper creatures. They will feed better in a couple of days after the "hunger strike".

I think cold fronts affect fisherman more than fish. They definitely push shallow fish tighter to cover, but that's about it. I generally move deeper if the shallow bite suffers. That said, today was a family day for me, we boated through the locks on the trent. I fished for 15 minutes before loading the boat back up and caught one little smallie. Tomorrow I'm fishing for real so we'll see what I really think about cold fronts soon enough.

Yea I got a good fish finder helix 5 g2 di. I spotted tons of fish in normal spots but they just stay there lol. I'm getting up at 5am give it a go tomorrow. Hoping it's a bit better might focus on pickies first. Glad everyone else struggled haha. Yes lake was super busy today . damn seadooers and oldies in pontoons. Good luck to all tomorrow . I'm fishing tomorrow with a more experienced fisherman that I had today so maybe that will help me. Oh also good to bring my good fishing rods lol. I forgot my best 3 at home. Had to use the community boat rod lol. Arms and hands are sore. What a difference when using quality. Sorry about text block I no good at grammar lol.

Well today must be a different story, in was out for a few hours and got a ton of bites. seemed the bass were in about 4feet of water pigging out. They were hitting soft plastics flipped to weed clumps. They seemed to have no interest in spinerbaits or jerkbaits however.

Same thing at my cottage just north of the kawarthas. Real tough bite and a very finicky bite. The ones I did get to bite were not aggressive about it.

Caught a lot of smaller largies in about 2ft of water covered with various structure. They seemed to relate to the larger sized lily pads and as always the bigger fish really wanted a slower retrieve.
All fish caught on Spro Bronzeye 65's and Bronzeye Jr's in various dark colours.
