Well the mild weather and rain has taken its toll on the ice up here in Windermere ....the shoreline is building up with runoff from the roads so I with deep regret pulled my perm hut to shore and with the forecast being so mild the next week or so I figured better safe than sorry ....the ice is still good for fishing I just didn't want to have to fight to get it off later as one or two really mild days can change the shoreline very quickly and I hate wading to connect the winch cable to the sleigh....I have the portable so as long as it's safe I'll still be fishing and may even sit out in the open and catch some rays.

HI Suds Nice to meet you this winter and I enjoyed the opportunity to chat with you. Enjoyed the fishing at Windermere and look forward to next year. Maybe our paths will cross in the warm weather. SDC

The permanent huts where I go near Port Carling are all being pulled off lake also. With the sun shining like today you can fish and get a tan at the same time.
