Yep with one slap of a 29 inch Musky in my net , the hook went right into my palm ... My daughter was really upset seeing my blood dripping , but my son did a real good job , he used the piano wire cutters , cut the hook is fast shot , i pushed the hook through the rest of the way , for some reason at that point your hand feels a little num so its not the end of the world but i did wish i had some aspirin on the boat later that day .... now i always have bottle of pain killer .....

My parents owned a fishing resort in Bobcaygeon that i grew up on and i remember clear as day stepping on a hook and having my mom have to cut it and push it thru. I'm sure it wasn't as big as that but when you're 10 it sure as hell feels like it! God that pain sucks! haha Hey atleast you had a nice fish to show for it!

Ive been hooked in the head by a muskie lure. it really sucks! my rule of thumb, rip it out if it isn't past the barb, if it is, push it back through the skin past the barb and snip the hook and pull it back through. the same thing they will do in the hospital. unless it has gone through bone. then hospital
