Sorry to see you got hooked I've never been hooked deep hope I never do but I have made all my musky lures barbless so if a fish or myself get hooked bad they should come out easily. Hope you figure is better

Thanks for all the comments and tips.....I don't feel as bad now that I have some company in this regard.

I'm back at it this weekend hopefully have some pics of just Muskie caught not people!

I'll post a report after the weekend or from the hospital lol

Cheers !

Yep with one slap of a 29 inch Musky in my net , the hook went right into my palm ... My daughter was really upset seeing my blood dripping , but my son did a real good job , he used the piano wire cutters , cut the hook is fast shot , i pushed the hook through the rest of the way , for some reason at that point your hand feels a little num so its not the end of the world but i did wish i had some aspirin on the boat later that day .... now i always have bottle of pain killer .....

My parents owned a fishing resort in Bobcaygeon that i grew up on and i remember clear as day stepping on a hook and having my mom have to cut it and push it thru. I'm sure it wasn't as big as that but when you're 10 it sure as hell feels like it! God that pain sucks! haha
Hey atleast you had a nice fish to show for it!

Sorry no Muskie pics on got one on she threw the hook on a spectacular jump.

I did get to walleye on my big 10 inch bait....the walleye sure are aggressive right now.

I got my heart rate jumping and came home with dinner instead of a hook in my hand ! Lol

Awesome day

Ive been hooked in the head by a muskie lure. it really sucks! my rule of thumb, rip it out if it isn't past the barb, if it is, push it back through the skin past the barb and snip the hook and pull it back through. the same thing they will do in the hospital. unless it has gone through bone. then hospital

Painful to even look at .
Glad its out !

I have a friend who literally got hooked right through his eyebrow many years back.
an inch lower & could have ended up alot worse for him.

Tight lines !!
