Spent the last week fishing Tri-lakes and Lower Buckhorn. Bite was tough at times but when I did find fish they were quality ones!

Fish came off jerkbaits or flipping jigs

Unfortunately my days fishing Tri-lakes are pretty much over for the season. Looking forward to summer 2018 lol

Those are amazing. Well-done. What do you think the poundage was on the bigger one? And on the one you lost?

Thanks guys!

The smallie in the top pic weighed 5.01. Rest of the fish I have no clue on weight. I own a million baits rods reels... but no scale! I've asked Santa for one for Xmas this year..

As for fight the bigger one didn't get a chance to fight me. I seen the fish come up and take my jerkbait and turn. Set the hook 30 seconds later in the net. I found an area with schooling smallies on upper buckhorn that one in the top pic had 4-6 fish with it all the same size. The fish were on that spot for 5 days and could possibly still be there. They became real stubborn after one was caught.Tons of bait fish in the area so my tube or other baits weren't cutting it .. I have other pics of fish caught on that spot but they are of friends and I don't want to post their faces all over the forum without them knowing... so you get to look at mine!

Get out there boys and girls hate to say it but the season is slowly coming to an end! I'm off to Erie for the remainder of the fishing season..maybe the odd trip to simcoe

Thanks again for the support! And good luck out there!
E.J.

I'll be on buckhorn all weekend. Good to see that the bass are hungry. Nice haul. I still haven't caught a 5lbs smallie. Looking forward to it.
