> Canal lake help

Heading up to canal lake this weekend for a tournament with the boys ... never fished canal lake before. We just wanted to try a new lake .. looks like it's goin to be a hot one ... any tips for zeroing in on larger pike from anyone who has fished this lake would be appreciated !

Haven't been up there in a while, but I remember throwing squarebills and jointed swimbaits like the s-waver in deeper areas was pretty productive.

It's a pretty weedy lake (or at least it was in the summer) so if you find open water, give it a shot.

Try senkos and jigs into 6-10 foot weed beds.

fish the whole boat canal, I would troll it. Biggest fish live there.
