the tally is uploaded now. go to the site, then click open tournaments, then scroll down to balsam lake 23rd results. Having a cottage on Balsam, and "try my best" at bass fishing, I'm very impressed with the weigh-in weights, and those that fish the tournament. ...after watching most of the weigh in and talking to some of the guys/gals, I walked away, noting to myself...I'm doing it all wrong...and there is fish in this lake!..

Good bag indeed! Lots of ground to cover but once you got an dialed in the rest is cake. We got into a bunch of 3-4lbers on the same day and was curious how everyone else made out.

...so after some bass insight from the guys in the tourney, much appreciated, I was on the water first thing Sunday, and fished most of the day, and too my surprise I went 3/6, all smallies, nothing to write home about, but I had fun...just using soft plastics. With that said, I saw a pair big smallies cruising around, back and fourth, three times in fact along the edge of a large weedbed, 8-10 fow, but no commitment from them, but really cool to watch, I think were buds now. ...I do believe I saw Double-blue around 4pm 9 (tip of Indian), I waived, but next time, I'll really give you the big shout-out.
