Hi all. I've been dragging the kids to Owen sound for some less than stellar salmon trolling and now need to get them back into some fish on hook action. I'm hoping the fine folks on here could advise if cooks or Kemp would be a better option for perch tomorrow. Winds look north so I'm wondering where to go with a 16 footer and 2 5 year old girls. Not looking for secret spots just maybe smoother water and sink perch to keep the little ones happy. Thanks all.

I understand. Thanks rhybak. It's just as close for me to go to Leroy area. Which sounds like Barrie may be busy. Can anyone advise if cooks is ok with the winds tomorrow and if there are perch around? I guess Monte Reno would be the spot to launch.

Hi speo. It seems I can't use messenger. Maybe cause I'm new to the site. I'm a lurker that intends to be a participating member. This seems like a good board that stays away from too much drama. Cuman101 at hotmail.com is my email if you feel like sharing.

I'd probably stick to fishing the north side of K-bay if you're in a smaller boat. if the winds shift a little come straight down into Cook's Bay it can get dicey in a hurry. Guys are catching a lot in K-Bay as I have been hearing.

So a buddy and I packed the kids and went out of Barrie marina. Turned out to be a nice afternoon on the water was nice and calm in kbay. Never did find the mother school. Couldn't believe the bait absolutely everywhere. Caught around 50 perch with a few keepers. Couple rock bass in the mix.
