Never been there for open water do you guys use plastics or shiners?

you can get them on plastics but I find in the fall more so than in the winter minnows really really outproduce artificials.

I prefer Shiners......we found some larger ones this year and cut them into 3 pieces.....perch did not care....another interesting observation that a friend in another boat stated.....that when the screen was lit up with clouds of baitfish or perch...seems like it was smaller fish...when the screen cleared is when you got the bigger jumbo's.....I noticed that as well....31 ft of water for me..furthest pack out..a lot of fish right on the bottom....
