First off, sorry if this thread is posted in the wrong forum. But lake simcoe is my home lake and I'd think the input here would help me most.
I'm debating on getting the new Curado K for bass fishing. I'm trying to build up my gear and I don't have a fast ratio reel yet, but was planning on getting the Curado K since I have access to decent pricing ($200)[a group buy is possible at this price, 226 after taxes]
I target mostly bass, but I'm very much a beginner.
I currently have: MojoBass crank rod paired with a Daiwa Tatula for cranking Quantum Accurist rod with a Revo STX for spinners, and currently top water Abu Garcia Specialist 2.0 for finesse/ senkos
What is everyone's input for the Curado K, worth the money? A great reel? Any suggestions on my set up?

I'm still very new to fishing, care to explain why its worth the money? I never owned a shimano reel, but are they extremely reliable? Do they cast well? Is there a certain feature that makes it stand out?
I bought my previous reels as a recommendation from my friends, as they've had many years of experience.

I have had many reels and I can say that the curado is great never had a problem with mine in the 8 years owning one it probably has more hours on it then my car worth every $ good luck and enjoy

Curado reels are well built, cast a mile, have braking systems that work very well, reasonably strong drags and are durable.

What's the main difference between the normal Curado vs the Curado K? From what I see, the Curado K has higher ratios. Does that completely change the dynamics of the reel? IE: high speed for ... top water?
