Oh yeah! What another sensational Crappie day as i teamed up with fellow board member Steelheader (Dave). With snowsqualls and fridgid tempertures on the horizon for the next few days, perhaps this would be my last Crappie outing on the open water this season. Dave and i would meet up at early light this morning and shortly after locating schools of fish on the sonar we began the onslaught with slab after slab being brought on board! The bite was fast and furious with several double headers. The fish were very aggressive as if they knew they would be shutting down their appetites with the fast approaching cold which will certainly send their metabolism to the catatonic winter state. If this was our last day on the open water we certainly went out with a bang as we limited out on Crappie, and tossed another 100 or more back to be retargeted at early ice.Toss in a pike and a half dozen Bluegills and man you couldn't ask for a better CRAPPIE day!! Come on weather gods, lets keep this going just a bit longer!Perhaps? Another CRAPPIE day..!

Hi Db (you the man)!
I cheated and hired a guide in the land o lakes area and had the same type of outting back in Oct., and if we were able to make it back up we would have probably had a day like you.

It's not luck when you catch so consistently. I'm glad most fishmen aren't as good with crappie as you are, otherwise the crappie population is going to say bye bye.
